Alibaba refused to buy MoneyGram

At the beginning of last year, Alibaba's financial unit was to conclude a deal with the American company MoneyGram, but a few months later, US senators wrote a letter to the Secretary of the Treasury demanding to ban the bargain, as it carried a threat for the national security of the country. The amount of the deal was supposed to amount to 1.2 billion dollars. On a recent day, the US government did ban the bargain on selling MoneyGram, and the deal fell through.

During yesterday trading session, Alibaba shares decreased by 0.6%, and the share price will continue to fall on today's news. Trading will be available during the American session, from 14:40 to 21:00 GMT.
