Alibaba struggles with counterfeits

The Chinese retailer Alibaba is working on a joint project on the struggle against counterfeit foodstuff. The development of the project has been supported by such companies as AusPost, Blackmores, and PwC.

The newly developed system from Alibaba will reduce the level of scam by using the technology of blocking. The company is aware that usage of technology will exclude the most common falsification of foodstuffs, such as fruit juices, oils, spices, and cereals. Testing of the project will take place in the markets of New Zealand and Australia.

From the middle of March, the company’s stocks grew by 4,2% and active growth is expected. The trading will be available during American session, from 13:40 till 21:00 GMT.
