The Italian Competition Authority (AGCM) conducted its investigation and found out that Apple and Samsung had deliberately slowed down the work of smartphones in Italy on purpose to encourage the purchase of new phone models. Apple and Samsung have released a number of firmware updates for mobile phones, which has led to serious disruptions in the work of devices, thus speeding up the process of replacing them. As a result of such actions, Apple will be obliged to pay a fine of 10 million euros.
Over the past few days, Apple shares have fallen by 3.4% and will continue its further decline based on the news. Trading will be available during the American session, from 13:40 to 20:00 GMT.
