Ericsson to open research center in Tatarstan

The Swedish company Ericsson together with the Russian telecommunications company MTS is going to open a research and development center. The center will be located in Innopolis, Republic of Tatarstan. The opening is scheduled for April 25. The initial goal of the Center is to develop solutions of the “smart city” for the infrastructure of the settlements of Tatarstan, which in the future will be replicated in other cities of Russia. Information about the project appeared in early 2018, after the meeting of the head of Tatarstan with the vice-president of Ericsson.

Since the end of last week, Ericsson shares jumped by 15.5% and will continue to grow based on today's news. Trading will be available during the European session, from 07:15 to 15:20 GMT.
