General Motors recalls 800 000 cars

The largest US car producer General Motors is recalling nearly 800,000 worldwide over steering defect. The company said that it plans to recall two models - Chevrolet Silverado 1500 and the 2014 model year GMC Sierra 1500 pickup trucks, which could suffer a temporary loss pf electric power steering. The recall includes about 690,000 vehicles in the US, 80,000 in Canada and about 25,000 in other markets.

Since the beginning of the month, General Motors shares fell 2,2% and continue its negative trend on the news. The trade will be available during American session, from 13:40 till 20:00 GMT.
