IBM has concluded a multimillion-dollar contract with the Australian government. The agreement is estimated at 740 million US dollars and obliges the company to implement blockchain technology in government services within a five-year period. With their help, the authorities will be able to improve the security of personal data of citizens of the country and save taxpayers' funds. Earlier, IBM had already concluded contracts with six European companies and opened access to their cloud solutions for the development of blockchain projects.
Over the past week, IBM shares rose more than 2% and continue to grow further based on the news. Trading will be available during the American session, from 13:40 to 20:00 GMT.
