Siemens to update London Tube trains

German concern Siemens has won a tender for the production of new trains for the London Underground for about $ 2billion. According to the contract, Siemens will design and create 94 new high-tech trains that will be operated on the Piccadilly Underground line. To implement the plans, Siemens will build a plant in the UK, where 1,700 jobs will be created. According to the plan, new train sets will be put into operation in 2023 and will replace the old trains that have been in use since the late 1970s.

In recent weeks, shares of Siemens have increased by 4.5% and will continue to grow based on the news. Trading will be available during the European session, from 07:00 to 15:30 GMT.
