The shares of the famous coffee chain Starbucks have fallen after a recent racist scandal. One Starbucks employee refused to allow two Afro-Americans, who had not ordered anything at the coffee shop, to visit the restroom. The employee called the police, the men were taken to the police station and were held there until the morning. A flurry of indignation and accusations of racism hit the chain after the incident. In connection with the scandal, in May, all Starbucks coffee houses will be closed for one day for training on tolerance and combating racism.
Over the past week, Starbucks shares fell 1.2% and will continue their negative movement based on the news. Trading will be available during the American session, from 13:40 to 20:00 GMT.
