The car concern Toyota has become an investor for a small American company called Joby Aviation that is engaged in the development of a “flying taxi”. The company received from Toyota about $100 million for a new development. “Flying taxi” is a flying machine, which is a hybrid of a helicopter, a car and a quadrocopter. The device will be called Joby S4 and, according to the developers, will be twice as fast and 100 times as quiet as an ordinary helicopter. The movement will be carried out by the electric motors, and the fully charged device will be able to cover a distance of 240 kilometers.
Since early March, Toyota shares have increased by 1.6% and will continue to grow based on the news. Trading will be available during the American session, from 14:40 to 21:00 GMT.
